Metal SIPs are made with steel and extra polystyrene (foam) for insulation, creating a structural framing building envelope that is fire-resistant. Unlike timber framing that is a combustible (fuel) building product, MSIP flame spread is minimal depending on fire conditions. Non-combustible building materials such as Metal SIPs provide a better chance of survival for humans and animals and less damage to property.
